Artist Trading Blocks! Who’da thunk it?
That’s Crafty! That’s who 😁
What a fabby couple of shows on Hochanda, with the lovely Jo Channon bringing demos, inspiration, hints and tips, and showcasing the fabby samples made by Samantha, Fliss, Helen, and myself.
In 2 sizes: 4” and 3” cubes, they are brilliant for decorating any which way you want to.
Here’s what I did....... using the That’s Crafty! atblocks, stencils, greyboard bits’n’pieces, stamps, light texture paste, multi surface paints, flat matte sprays, and 3D gloss gel medium, plus other oddments from my own craftstash.

A tube full of coins.
I’ve seen a few ATCoin storage tubes made from decorated Pringles tubes, but not one like this.
First I cut the ends off the tube and cut down the side.
First I cut the ends off the tube and cut down the side.
Next I made some ends out of cardstock and cardboard, and attached them using masking tape and glue.
Then I painted all joins and edges with black gesso.
Finally I made some bespoke paper using a That’s Crafty! ATCoin stamp, and decorated my storage
tube.

Today I have been doodling.
The backgrounds were done with ZIG watercolour pens, then the pictures were drawn using black Sakura Pigma micron pen. A bit of highlight with Sakura Gelly Roll basic bright white gave some depth.
Finally, some Glossy Accents added definition and shine,

That’s all for now.
Have a fabby day.

Rejoining the blogging world
After a very long leave of absence I’ve rejoined the blogging world, and this time I’m here to stay.
I did have to test the waters with a draft of an old post, and lo-and-behold it works on my iPad! Oh happy me. I don’t have to start again from scratch.
I’ll kick off with some ATCoins. I used stamps from That’s Crafty and Dew Drop Brilliance moonlight white ink.
By stamping the image a few times, and picking various different areas to emboss and picot cut, it was possible to get a lot of detail onto a small surface.
Some stamps!
In 2014
I designed 6 sets of stamps for Jo and Mark Channon at Let's Create in Coningsby, Lincs.
I had great fun drawing them, and it gives me a real buzz to see them for sale in the shop.
Without further ado, here they are:
